Link the plugin to your account
You do this once, from inside OBS — it couldn't be done here because the plugin runs on your streaming machine. In OBS, add the BabelStreamer Speech Filter to your microphone source (right-click the source → Filters → +), open its settings, and click Connect account. It shows a short code and a link back to this site — sign in, enter the code, and that OBS install is linked. Repeat on any other machine you stream from.
You can also manage linked installs any time from your dashboard.
How viewers see captions
Viewers need two things: a way to see captions — the BabelStreamer browser extension on desktop, or the mobile app on phones and tablets — and the session key your OBS plugin shows you once you're live. Share that key somewhere they'll see it:
- stream title or chat
- bio / panels
- an on-screen overlay
- a pinned message
First-timers can follow the step-by-step viewer guide — it's safe to link directly from your own channel.
