Watch streams in your language

a three-step guide for viewers

If a streamer runs BabelStreamer, you can read their speech as live captions translated into your language — right on top of their stream.

1

Install

Get the browser extension

The extension is what draws translated captions over the video. Install the build for your browser — it's free and takes a few seconds.

2

Get the code

Grab the streamer's session key

Every live session has its own 6-character key. The streamer shares theirs while they're live — since every channel does this a little differently, check around their stream:

  • stream title or chat
  • bio / panels
  • on-screen overlay
  • pinned message
looks like: XK7P2M
3

Connect

Open the extension and connect

Click the BabelStreamer icon in your toolbar — if it's tucked away, look under the puzzle-piece (extensions) menu. Paste in the session key, pick your language, and hit Connect.

That's it — captions appear over the video

LIVE hey viewers, welcome to the stream! EN
